Negative taken for May 16, 1962, Arkansas Gazette article "Uncle Sam Beckons Again - But Just for a Junket," B1:3. Ernie Deane and twenty others from Arkansas were the guests of the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Antietam. The group was flown in a Navy passenger plane from Arkansas to the Naval Air Station at Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas. They were then flown to the Antietam aboard Navy helicopters. While there, Deane photographed a sailor guiding planes to the carrier.
